That’s right! Take to the Road is moving… moving house! Yup sometimes real life gets in the way of running a classic car website and in a few days time, I will be moving house. So that means boxes, lots of cardboard boxes. As a result everything I own and all my computer gear and video equipment will be packaged up and stored for a few days while the move takes place. And I will have no internet as all of that wizardry will need to be transferred and switched on at the new residence. So because of all this chaos, Take to the Road will be taking a bit of a break. Once everything is moved and un-boxed and reconnected, normal service will resume.

Even though the next few weeks will be chaotic and a bit stressful, the move will herald an exciting new era for Take to the Road. The new house will see the rescue of my Bertone x1/9 Gran Finale from long term storage, which will take pride of place in a new double garage! Hurrah! Yes Take to the Road will have a new headquarters, a new hub for all its classic car obsessions. And the great thing is the x1/9 will finally get to meet the Alfa Romeo Spider, for the very first time. It will be a very Italian garage. To say I am a little bit excited is an understatement! And to be honest, I can’t wait!!!
