One of Beaulieu’s biggest and most popular rallies, Simply Ford, will be returning to the Beaulieu on Sunday 18th July. A superb line-up of Fords of all varieties and from all eras is expected to gather, on what promises to be a huge day out for petrolheads.

Going from strength to strength since its launch over a decade ago, Simply Ford has become one of Beaulieu’s calendar highlights for thousands of car fans, especially for those who love the famous blue oval badge. No matter if it is a pre-war rarity, a much-loved classic, or a modern everyday car, all Fords are welcome to join the event, giving owners and enthusiasts the perfect opportunity to catch up and talk about their favourite cars.

Last year’s event perfectly showcased the wide variety of Fords that are on UK roads, with the broad display ranging from modern-day Mondeos, Fiestas and Focuses, to classic Escorts, Sierras and Cortinas. American Ford pick-up trucks are also a popular spot, parked up alongside Focus RSs, Fiesta STs, delightful old Anglia’s, and of course the iconic Mustangs. This year’s event is certain to bring together an equally impressive selection, with organisers expecting a big turn out after pent up demand for cars shows after the recent COVID restricitons.

Guests to the show also have the opportunity to visit the recently reopened National Motor Museum to see even more historic Fords, including the 1981 Ford Escort RS1800. This is the very rally car that forty years ago was driven to second place in the 1981 RAC Rally by rallying ace Ari Vatanen. It really is a piece of motorsport history. The museum collection also includes a number of Fords from the marques past, ranging from a fascinating 1914 Model T, all the way up to a high-performance 1986 Sierra RS Cosworth.

Event-goers can vote for their favourite Ford of the show in the People’s Choice Award, with the winner receiving a coveted Beaulieu trophy and a special Autoglym prize. Voting is open until 1pm that day.

Those wishing to attend Simply Ford are reminded tat all tickets must be bought in advance, with carefully-managed capacity limits in place.
